Hey everyone, just another quick intro. I'm Lorne, just joined. I've been on Cabal for about a year. So yeah, I'm pretty excited to be in this guild. I've been looking for a somewhat small guild that's not full of stuck-up people.
Anyways, I'm interested in doing some work for the guild a little down the road. I'm a Web Developer, working for DomainTeks, as well as a Head IT Assistant at the college I'm currently attending. I've been developing in PHP and MySQL for about 4-5 years now, as well as HTML/CSS design for nearly 6 years. I design/develop everything from scratch- so I don't use PHPBB or other free scripts.
I would like to work on a guild forum for you, but I'm a little concerned that not everyone will get on it. I've been to many guilds where forums are a crucial piece of the game, where members can chat and have fun- plan events, and whatnot during downtime on the game. I've done forum gamesite designs before; I've worked on the expansion of the World of Warcraft forums out of PHPBB3 and into their own design- so I have major experience in forum development.
I could include calendars, polls, profiles, etc.. None of these will take me long, since I have a database of all the scripts I've done sitting around. Anyways, let me know what you think. If you have any ideas on how we could integrate the guild into a forum as well, that'd be awesome.
Hope to hear from you all!

There are a few things that we need to make this a good place to be.. a ranking system that would draw members in. A better look.. a chat box.. just to name a few. I am excited to have you here. I can do this site.. there is just too much for me to do elsewise that the site has kinda gone by the wayside. But as the guild events get more noticed then you will see more guildies on.
I do understand you not wanting to put too much effort into a site if it is going to go dead. That is a waste of your hard work.
Anyhow.. welcome Loren to our lil home away from home and i hope you come to feel the way i do about this group .. they are an extended family to me.
brightest blessings, Isis
